2008 Schedule of Events
SUNDAY October 19th, 2008 - 1O MAN SPPL STYLE WOODSBALL
TOURNEY
If you like playing in wooded courses and want the
excitement of a tournament, this is the event for you!
For those of you who have not heard of the SPPL, they are the
most prominent woodsball series around.
This tournament will be played in the Scenario Challenge
format -- the description below is from the SPPL website, www.scenariochallenge.com
Back in the old days, tournament paintball was a woods
game. Twelve, ten or eight-man teams clashed on outdoor fields
in gnarly matches of Capture the Flag. Today, Woodsball™ and
tournament paintball have gone their separate ways, but that
doesn’t mean that Woodsball™ players shouldn’t have a
chance to compete. The Scenario Challenge format borrows
heavily from old school, woods tournament paintball, but then
it adds back some basic elements of scenario style games. If
you mix both, and shrink the field down to fit a ten-on-ten
man game, you will come up with Scenario Challenge. It’s a
mini-scenario/tournament game played by two teams. Here are
some basics:
WE BROUGHT THIS FORMAT TO THE STL AREA, AND THE FIRST EVENT

SATURDAY & SUNDAY October 25th &
26th, 2008 - Fall Pump Event
This is basically a laid-back private group of all pump gun
players.
Saturday is standard pump day, several groups to play in,
(Speedball, Airball Woods, etc). Saturday night we will
have a players party at the field. Shane-O will bring the DJ
gear and we can hang out, and swap lies about the days
eliminations. He will also be working out some sort of food/bbq
type thing. More to come on that later.
Sunday we will have standard pump open play, AND a Top Gun,
old school pistol challenge. Nelspots with pump handles, PGP's
(not 2k version), Splatmasters, DSDS Sliders, and GZ 1000.
Velocity adjustment mods are the only ones allowed! More to
come on this also.
Either way, this will be a very fun, laid back event, so if
you like pump-gun play DON'T MISS THIS EVENT! We are very
limited on pump-gun rentals, so please come early!
SUNDAY, November 2nd, 2008 -- 3man
Beginners' Tournament
This event is for teams
newer to the sport of paintball. This will be played on
one of our airball fields, and there will be nearly a referee
for every player on the field. Teams will play a
modified round robin format, playing nearly every team once in
the preliminary rounds. Each team is guaranteed 6-8
games in the preliminary rounds. The top four teams will
move on to finals, where they will play three more
games. Teams are welcome to play open play afterwards
for no charge, and we can always assist in forming
teams. Call for more info!
$75/team includes airfills,
field paint only @ $50/case of 2000. All prices include
tax.
SUNDAY, February 1st, 2009 -- 7th Annual
Chili Bowl Big Game
This event is
open to anyone (beginners definitely welcome) and is always a
good time. FREE ENTRY, FREE AIR FILLS, AND EVEN FREE
CHILI!!
The
chili bowl is one of our very few big games a year, where we
drop all the ropes and play the entire 22 acre facility as one
huge field. The players are divided into two huge teams,
and work together to advance on the field and protect their
bases. One of the many advantages to playing on a 20+ acre
playing field is that it allows us to have "resurrection
points," so after you are hit, you just walk back to that
spot, and you are immediately back in the game. For
lunch, everyone gets a free bowl of Matt Koppen's practically
world-famous chili.
This
is a field paint only event, with quality paint available at
$50/case of 2000. Games will start around 9:30am and last until around
4pm.
Also,
get 10 people pre-paid as a group and get a FREE CASE (2000)
PAINTBALLS! Call for more information...
